Paris Olympics close in glittering, dreamlike fashion

The closing ceremony of the Paris Olympics took place yesterday evening at 9 p.m. in the Stade de France, which has a capacity of 80,000 spectators.

After 9 o'clock, the first step was to have the Olympic flame extinguished outside the arena, which was extinguished with a balloon suspended from a balloon and brought back to the Stade in the form of a flame by a French athlete to formalize the extinguishing of the flame in a formal ceremony, accompanied by singing.

This spectacle was later followed by the athletes' representatives, led by International Olympic President Bach, who made the flame disappear by blowing it out.

In the stadium, after the entry and position of the flag bearers of each delegation, it was the turn of the participating athletes to enter en masse, many of them holding the flags of their countries and regions, and those with medals, even attended with their medals.

The flag bearers of the Dutch delegation at the closing ceremony were hurdler Pohl and cyclist Harrie Lavreysen, who also won three medals at this year's Olympics.

Hassan of the Netherlands appeared! The medals for the women's marathon, which were awarded during the closing ceremony, saw the three winning athletes on the podium, where they were presented with their awards by International Olympic President Bach himself. This was followed by the playing of the national anthem of the country of the winner, and once again the Dutch national anthem was played during the closing ceremony, a rare occurrence! That's why some people say that this is the gold medal that carries the most weight.

The Dutch athletes leave for home today, but a "welcome home" party awaits them in Scheveningen, The Hague.

A rousing rendition of "We are the Champions" led to a standing ovation, before the closing ceremony began.

The performance at the start of the Closing Ceremony was dominated by the French side, and the main story was probably that of a star traveler who traveled through time and space to discover the remains of the Olympic Games and set out to rebuild them.

Among other things, hundreds of acrobats performed on stage to show how the five rings of the Olympics were built, symbolizing that the ancient Olympics had been given new life.

The show continued to generate excitement as a piano appeared in the air along with a player to accompany a singer singing an ancient Greek ballad.

Then came the speeches, in which Tony Estanguet, President of the Paris Olympic Committee, and Bach, President of the International Olympic Committee, thanked the athletes, the spectators and the volunteers.

Then, a flag ceremony was held, Estanguet handed over the Olympic flag to Bach, and the Mayor of Los Angeles received the flag from Bach, saying that Los Angeles will be the new host of the Olympic Games.

Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise was in the spotlight as he performed an aerial stunt at the closing ceremony in Paris, playing the role of a character who falls from the sky to receive the flag from the mayor of Los Angeles, and then rides a motorcycle to carry the flag out of the venue. Some footage showed him zipping through downtown Paris before flying back to Los Angeles on a plane and landing from the sky in Hollywood, while Los Angelenos were ready to take on the task in preparation for the extravaganza to be held four years from now.

Again, there was music and song and dance.

The closing ceremony lasted more than four hours, and the athletes' representatives, led by Bach, finally blew out the flame, but the city of Paris remained up all night, and the singing and dancing continued, filling the city with flamboyance. This is a new crown after the epidemic of the Olympic Games, the French people put this Olympic Games organized, constantly new, and no special events, France did put a lot of effort.
